Job Title: Compliance Manager
Reports to: Managing Director
Location: Belfast office
Working hours: Monday – Friday / 8am-5pm (40 hrs per week)
Assignment Type: Fulltime Permanent (subject to 6 month probationary)
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 pa (dependent on experience)

The Role
To manage and provide day to day compliance and regulatory support to the Industrial Temps Management team and to undertake compliance duties essential to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office.

Main Duties:
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program that includes policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance within the recruitment sectors regulatory bodies, to include adherence to regulations/guidance as set out by the HMRC, GLAA, UK Border Agency & Employment Agency Inspectorate and all relevant regulatory and legislative bodies
Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance to relevant regulations, and guidelines.
Monitor GDPR compliance
Provide training to compliance and relevant employees throughout the branches ensuring that all employees understand their compliance responsibilities and obligations
Maintain accurate and complete records of compliance activities, including audits, investigations, and training.
Prepare reports on compliance activities, findings, and recommendations for Senior management and regulatory agencies as required.
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
Conduct research as required updating relevant Departments of findings/outcomes
Provide recommendations and guidance on how to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Be the main point of contact with regulatory agencies and external auditors, regarding compliance matters.
Stay updated on changes in regulations, and industry standards specific to the recruitment sector and ensure that all branches are informed and compliant with these changes.
Conduct thorough investigations of reported or suspected compliance violations.
Take appropriate actions to address identified compliance issues, including conducting root cause analysis, implementing corrective measures, and reporting findings to management and regulatory agencies as required.
Carry out regular audits on RDB ensuring records and information are complete, complaint and relevant
Ensure worker settlement status is current and compliant before changing to live on RDB
Promote a culture of ethics and integrity within the Company

To provide support to other parts of the Company as directed.
To adhere to company policies, systems, procedures and codes of practice to which the company subscribes.
To make recommendations to the Managing Director concerning potential improvements to company procedures and standards.
To perform any other duties as required from time to time by management.
To undergo training/retraining as required
Essential Criteria
Experience in conducting audits, investigations & delivering training
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
High attention to detail and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
Previous compliance experience in a senior capacity
Working knowledge of compliance standards and regulations
Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
Methodical and diligent
Excellent communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Previous experience of managing team
Proficient in Microsoft office/365/SharePoint/Onedrive/Adobe PDF-word conversion
Desirable Criteria
Previous exposure to compliance within recruitment agency sector
Previous management of right to work requirements and GDPR
Willing to undertake relevant internal/ external training
