On behalf of our client we are searching for Production Operatives based in Newtownards. The Production Operative is responsible for supporting various production activities within the factory. This role includes assisting in the operation of machinery, handling raw materials, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring smooth production processes. A focus on safety, quality, and efficiency is critical. Pay Rate: £13.72 Per Hour Working Hours: Rotational Day Shifts Wk 1 Shift A – Mon Tue Wed / Shift B - Thurs Fri Sat / Shift C – Tue Wed Thurs Fri Wk 2 Shift A – Thurs Fri Sat / Shift B – Tue Wed Thurs Fri / Shift C – Mon Tue Wed Wk 3 Shift A – Tue Wed Thurs Fri / Shift B – Mon Tue Wed / Shift C – Thurs Fri Sat Job Type: Temporary Job Criteria: • Previous experience in a factory or production environment is preferred but not required. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a factory setting. • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. • Flexible and willing to learn new tasks or take on additional responsibilities when needed. • Manual dexterity and ability to operate basic machinery. • Good problem-solving skills for minor operational issues. • Ability to follow health and safety protocols. • Reliability and punctuality in attending shifts and meeting deadlines. Job Duties: • Assist in the operation of production equipment and machinery, ensuring the smooth running of the factory processes. • Handle raw materials, tools, and other production inputs, ensuring they are ready for use. • Carry out manual labour tasks such as loading, unloading, and stacking materials and finished goods. • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and report any issues to the supervisor. • Pack finished products according to company specifications and prepare them for shipment or storage. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the factory floor, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. • Assist in the maintenance of machinery and equipment by reporting faults or performing basic cleaning and maintenance tasks. • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner. • Adhere to safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining safe working practices at all times. • Support team members with various tasks as needed, including lifting, transporting goods, and other manual duties. • Assist in inventory management, including tracking supplies and notifying the supervisor of low stock or materials.
