Our Client Cranswick is one of the UK's leading food producer and supplier of premium, fresh and added-value food products. We are currently seeking a Quality Controller to join their fantastic team in Cullybackey,
Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour
Hours Per Week: 40
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 6am – 2.30pm
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Job Criteria:
- GCSE Maths & English, grade A-C, or equivalent
- IT literate
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Excellent problem-solving skills without compromise to food safety, legality or quality
- Excellent work ethos
- Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Good time keeping skills
- Performance driven and customer oriented.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to new challenges in an everchanging manufacturing environment
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience in quality assurance or similar role
- Qualification in a food science related subject
- Knowledge of HACCP and BRC quality management systems - Qualifications in this area desirable
- Knowledge of red meat sector
Job Duties:
- Monitoring and verification checks throughout the factory, including temperature, CCPs and pre-requisite requirements
- Accurately complete all required paperwork
- Verify production check sheets
- Butchery checks to ensure that product meets customer specifications
- Internal auditing
- Investigate non-conformances
- Verify completed investigation of non conformances and customer complaints
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene rules in the factory environment
- Assess goods at intake to ensure they meet specification
- Assist in preparation for customer visits, third party and internal audits.
- Any other duties within the competency of the job as directed by management
