We are seeking Fitters for our Client based in Derry/Londonderry. The successful candidates will maintain and repair all mechanical aspects of a vehicle, carry out vehicle inspections and associated administrative duties.

Working Hours: Day shift and Night shift positions available
Hours per Week: 37
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent and Fixed Term contracts available (until March 2025)
Job Duties:
- Inspect, service, maintain and prepare Translink fleet to PCV standards
- Test, diagnose faults and rectify defects on vehicle systems as appropriate
- Remove and replace vehicle components
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns
- Complete administrative duties associated with the post
- Other appropriate duties
Job Criteria:
- Recognised Vehicle Apprenticeship with minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade or discipline
- Minimum of 2 years’ post apprenticeship experience in a similar role within an automotive environment
- Full current driving licence
- Willing to obtain a PCV licence

Desirable:
- Experience in a similar role working on commercial vehicles.
- Relevant engineering experience on buses and/or coaches
- Experience of using IT packages
- Possess large vehicle licence, preferably a PCV licence.
