We are seeking Electricians for our Client based in Newry. The successful candidates will maintain and repair all mechanical aspects of a vehicle, carry out vehicle inspections and associated administrative duties.
Salary: £31,741.52 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Wednesday 8.30 to 5pm, Thursday 8.30 to 4pm and Friday 8.30 to 3pm
Hours per Week: 37
Job Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 1st June 2025
Job Duties:
- Inspect, service, maintain and prepare Translink fleet to PCV standards
- Test, diagnose faults and rectify defects on vehicle systems
- Remove and replace vehicle components
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns
- Complete administrative duties associated with the post
- Other appropriate duties
Essential Criteria:
- Recognised Vehicle Apprenticeship with minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade or discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ post apprenticeship experience in a similar role.
- Able to obtain a PCV licence
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in a similar role working on commercial vehicles
- Relevant engineering experience on buses and/or coaches
- Experience of using IT packages
- Full current driving licence
- Possess large vehicle license. Preferably a PVC licence
