Our client, an engineering company based in Lisburn, is looking for a Stores Operative to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all store and stock functions.
Pay Rate: £12.00 - £12.50 per hour
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm and Friday 7am - 12pm
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Job Duties:
- Gate control for access of goods vehicles to the yard. Where relevant, notifying relevant stakeholders in the business of the arrival of the goods vehicle to ensure prompt attention is provided
- Responsible for receiving stores materials from delivery vehicles, completion of Goods Inwards inspections for quality, completeness against delivery notes and validating consignment against ASSA ABLOY procurement requisitions and/or free issue hardware notifications. Where applicable completing all documentation in support of the delivery acceptance process and updating ERP system
- Operating a return and/or quarantine and return system and location for goods received that are unacceptable, contacting vendors to notify of non-conformances and ensuring these are quickly replaced or refunded in full based on the circumstances. Vendor account to be updated to reflect the unaccepted supply for future vendor review purposes.
- Organized and Safe storage of all goods received and retained in the stores with all storage locations in stores clearly identified and accurate manifests maintained with stock description, quantity and locations defined
- Daily check of consumable and PPE stock both in stores and vending solution; raising purchase requisitions for replenishment of stock based on expected stock profile, or notifying vending supplier of low stock lines for replenishment
- Ensure all products issued to a specific job number are clearly marked with the job number and isolated from standard stock.
- Ensure all relevant areas in the factory are fully stocked at all times
- Stock Management to include:
- Monitor stock against agreed inventory levels and re-order as required
- Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against AX inventory
- Ensure stock items have appropriate codes
- Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items
Job Criteria:
- Experience within busy store/warehouse environment and dealing with suppliers
- Experience in ERP system
- Forklift truck license desirable
- Preferably GCSE Maths and English, ICT - Grade C
