We are seeking Bodybuilders for our Client in Belfast. The successful candidate will maintain and repair all body and structural aspects of a vehicle, carry out vehicle inspections and associated administrative duties.
Pay rate: £15.66 Per Hour
Hours per week: 37
Working Hours: Monday to Wednesday 8.30am - 5pm, Thursday 8.30am - 4pm and Friday 8.30am - 3pm
Job Type: Full Time Fixed Term Contract, until November 2024
Job Duties:
- Test operation, diagnose faults and rectify defects on vehicle systems as appropriate
- Remove and replace vehicle components as appropriate
- Perform accident repair
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns as appropriate
- Complete administrative duties associated with the post
- Other appropriate duties
Job Criteria:
Essential:
- Minimum of 2 years’ post apprenticeship experience in a similar role.
- Recognised Vehicle Apprenticeship with minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade or discipline.
- Awareness and understanding of customer needs.
- Diagnostic ability where applicable.
- Ability to produce sound & safe work.
- Awareness of and compliance with Health & Safety at work.
- Working knowledge of vehicle structures, bodywork repairs, glass fitment, welding, bonding processes, drilling and cutting etc.
- Able to work with others and with minimal supervision.
- Flexible attitude to work and working hours with ability to work additional hours when required or at short notice.
- Available for call out.
- Ability to work in other Depots in the area may be required.
- Able to obtain a PCV licence.
- Able to satisfy such medical standards as may apply to the post.
Desirable:
- Experience in a similar role working on commercial vehicles.
- Relevant engineering experience on buses and/or coaches.
- Further studies relevant to workshop environment.
- Wood-working capability and experience.
- Experience of using IT packages.
- Possess large vehicle licence, preferably a PCV licence.
